Transfer: Disasi nears Bournemouth switch, Gasperini clears air on Sancho-Roma talks

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi is reportedly close to sealing a move to Premier League rivals Bournemouth.

According to The Sun UK, Bournemouth have entered advanced negotiations with Chelsea for the permanent signing of the 27-year-old Frenchman.

Talks between both clubs are progressing, with the Cherries keen to finalize the deal before next week’s summer transfer deadline. Disasi is said to be high on Bournemouth’s priority list, and there is growing optimism on the south coast that an agreement will soon be reached.

Meanwhile, AS Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini has dismissed reports suggesting that Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho rejected a move to the Serie A club.

Roma director Frederic Massara had earlier claimed that Sancho turned down an opportunity to join the Italian side this summer. However, Gasperini has clarified the situation, insisting that the England international never snubbed the club.

Speaking to RAI after Roma’s Serie A victory over Bologna at the weekend, Gasperini said:

“Sancho never said no to Roma.”

Sancho’s future at Old Trafford remains uncertain, with the winger attracting interest from Roma and several other European clubs.
