Super Falcons star striker, Asisat Oshoala, is on the verge of completing a move to Saudi Arabia’s Professional Women’s Football League giants, Al-Hilal.
The 30-year-old forward is making the switch from National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) side, Bay FC, after just seven months with the American club. According to The Athletic, Oshoala arrived in Riyadh on Monday and successfully passed her medicals, paving the way for the deal to be finalized.
Oshoala joined Bay FC from Barcelona Femení in February 2024, following a trophy-laden spell in Spain. She featured last weekend in Bay FC’s 3-2 home defeat to Washington Spirit, which now appears to be her final game for the club.
Her move to Al-Hilal adds to the growing list of Nigerian players in the Saudi women’s league, including Ashleigh Plumptre, Francisca Ordega, Rita Chikwelu, and Chinonyerem Macleans.
