Ben Chilwell Departs Chelsea for Permanent Move to RC Strasbourg

England international Ben Chilwell has officially left Chelsea to join French side RC Strasbourg on a permanent deal.

Chilwell arrived at Stamford Bridge from Leicester City in the summer of 2020 and quickly made an impact, scoring on his Premier League debut and cementing his place in the starting lineup. He featured 42 times across all competitions in his first season, which culminated in Chelsea’s Champions League triumph over Manchester City in Porto.

Over the next three seasons, the 28-year-old defender made 64 appearances for the Blues. Last season, he spent the second half on loan at Crystal Palace, playing a pivotal role in helping the Eagles secure their historic first-ever FA Cup title.

Chelsea expressed gratitude to Chilwell for his contributions during his four-year stay and wished him success in the next phase of his career in France.
