Transfer News: Martinez on Verge of Manchester United Move, Chukwueze Heads to London for Fulham Switch

Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United, in what could be one of the most surprising moves of the summer transfer window.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Argentina World Cup winner has made clear his intention to join the Red Devils, prompting his omission from Aston Villa’s squad in their clash against Crystal Palace on Sunday.

United are now in advanced negotiations with Villa as they look to finalise a deal for the 32-year-old shot-stopper, who has been a key figure at Villa Park since his arrival in 2020.

In a separate transfer development, Nigerian international Samuel Chukwueze is set to complete a move to Fulham. The AC Milan winger is expected to arrive in London on Sunday night, ahead of his medical and contract signing scheduled for Monday.

Chukwueze, who joined Milan from Villarreal in 2023, is now poised to begin a new chapter in the Premier League with Marco Silva’s side.
