Saka Set to Miss Four Weeks With Injury, Odegaard Doubtful for Liverpool Clash

Arsenal forward Bukayo Saka is expected to be sidelined for up to four weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the Gunners’ 5-0 Premier League victory over Leeds United on Saturday.

The 23-year-old, who limped off during the first half at the Emirates Stadium, will miss Sunday’s highly anticipated clash against Liverpool at Anfield, as well as England’s upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Andorra and Serbia next month.

Captain Martin Ødegaard is also a doubt for the Liverpool fixture after suffering a shoulder injury in the same game. The Norwegian midfielder was withdrawn in the first half and later left the stadium with his arm in a sling.

While Ødegaard has not yet been ruled out of action, there is optimism within the club that both he and Saka will avoid long-term absences. The news comes as some relief to Arsenal supporters, particularly given Saka’s three-month layoff with a similar hamstring issue last season.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, however, has a wealth of attacking options to call upon. This summer’s arrivals Viktor Gyökeres, Noni Madueke, and Eberechi Eze provide fresh depth, alongside existing talents Gabriel Martinelli, Leandro Trossard, Ethan Nwaneri, and Max Dowman.

The Gunners face a crucial test at Anfield as they continue their pursuit of the Premier League title, with fitness concerns surrounding two of their most influential players.
