CHAN 2024: Prize Money Confirmed for Morocco and Madagascar After Thrilling 3-2 Final

The prize money for Morocco and Madagascar has been finalized following the conclusion of the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) on Saturday.

Morocco emerged victorious, defeating Madagascar 3-2 in a captivating final to claim the CHAN title at the Moi International Sports Centre.

Youssef Mehri opened the scoring for Morocco, while Oussama Lamlaoui’s brace sealed the win for the North African side. 

Madagascar fought valiantly, with goals from C.F. Manohantsoa and T.N. Rakotondraibe, but fell short of the trophy.

Morocco’s triumph earned them the gold medal and a $3.5 million prize. 

Madagascar, securing silver, received a commendable $1.2 million payout for their impressive tournament run.
