Manchester City’s decision to keep hold of winger Savinho has effectively ended any possibility of Real Madrid star Rodrygo joining the Premier League champions this summer.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that City informed Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday that their stance on Savinho remains unchanged. The club has no intention of letting the Brazilian leave the Etihad, even for a fee as high as €70 million.
This firm decision also rules out the chance of Rodrygo moving to City as a potential replacement for Savinho.
Rodrygo has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid in the current transfer window, with interest from Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Chelsea. However, City’s refusal to part ways with Savinho has closed the door on such a move.
